What You Need To Know Before Going To A Philly Concert

Phialdelphia Entertainment News

Thanks to vaccines, concerts and shows are coming back and we could not be more excited! You might have your tickets and are counting down the days until your next live show. God knows I have.

Philly started a gradual reopening with limited capacity and attendees wearing masks. Then, once the mask mandate was dropped, capacity was raised and sports, shows and live music came back. But before you go, there are some important things you should know.

So, here we will list by venue, what you need to know before attending a concert/show in Philly.

Wells Fargo Center

According to their website, The Wells Fargo Center “recommends that guests who are not fully vaccinated follow CDC guidance by wearing masks while attending events at the venue. Vaccinated guests are welcome to wear masks, if they choose to do so.” They will monitor guidance from the CDC and will update their policies accordingly.

As for keeping you safe in the venue, WFC is offering contactless parking experiences. Food and drinks will be able to be ordered from their mobile devices and all payments will be cashless. The merchandise locations will be open, but might be cashless.

If you have bought tickets through them recently, you have probably noticed that all tickets are mobile, so they can be scanned for a contactless entry.

They installed an $11 million air filtration system that replaces the air every 30 minutes. As for bags, they have updated their rules drastically. Only small wallets, clutches (not to exceed 4.5” x 6.5” with or without handle), medically-required bags, and parenting bags are permitted and will be subject to an X-ray scan and visual security check.

Oversized bags can be stored in lockers located on the Broad Street side of the building. Lockers are priced based on bag size, ranging from $5 to $15, payable by credit cards only. Lockers are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Lincoln Financial Field

The Linc allows concert-goers one bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and does not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12”, one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar), small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand but not larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.

Signs are allowed, but they can’t be obscene or block anyone’s view. They can’t be larger than a foot in length.

If guests are unvaccinated they should wear a mask unless they are eating or drinking. Vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask.

Citizens Bank Park

All tickets and parking passes will be mobile through the MLB ballpark app. According to their website, “Fans who are UNVACCINATED are strongly encouraged to continue wearing their masks while at CBP. Only purses, medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. Approved bags (purses, medical bags and diaper bags) can be no larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″ and will be subject to inspection upon entry.

They are cleaning before events and disinfecting high-touch surfaces including handrails and tables and hand sanitizer stations have been placed around the park.

Concessions and merchandise will be available, but they will be cashless. Only a few concession stations will be opened.

CBP strongly encourages anyone who feels sick to stay home.
