We’re definitely going to remember this! The Jonas Brothers brought their Remember This Tour to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ, on Thursday, October 7.
The night started off with 4 openers- Homegrown, an Australian sibling country group, Carter Ace, a hip-hop band from Los Angeles. They each performed about 3 to 4 songs. Then, Jordan McGraw, who joined them on the last tour played about a 30-minute set and Kelsea Ballerini got the crowd aimed up and on their feet during her set.
Ballerini sang many of her hits including “Miss Me More”, “Half Of My Hometown”, “Peter Pan” and more. Then she covered other artists’ songs that made her reminiscent like “Teardrops on My Guitar,” “Breakaway” and “Lucky.”
Finally, at 9:30 PM, The Jonas Brothers came on stage. The band opened with the tour’s title song, “Remember This.” Kevin, Nick and Joe were all sporting their own clothes and unique styles with Nick in a fringe jacket, Kevin in a button-down and Joe in a baseball type jersey with an undershirt underneath.
Even though there was no B-stage and they couldn’t come down from the stage because of COVID-19, you could still see from pretty much wherever you sat.
The brothers then got the crowd up on their feet when they sang their songs “Only Human,” “What A Man Gotta Do,” and the deep cut, “That’s Just The Way We Roll.”
The crowd sang back the words to “Leave Before You Love Me” and “Cool,” but their latest single, “Who’s in Your Head,” was noticeably absent from the show.
Of course, the classics like “Burnin’ Up,” “Fly With Me” and “SOS” were belted out in Camden. They even had a section where the boys played their solo songs. Joe sang DNCE’s “Toothbrush” and “Cake By The Ocean” while Nick sang “Jealous” and added “This is Heaven” to the setlist for the first time.
During “Fly With Me,” there was a proposal in the pit and Joe acknowledged them, congratulating them.
They played a great mix of old and new songs taking off “Paranoid,” “Mercy” and “I Believe” to sing “Strangers” and Camp Rock’s “Play My Music,” which the crowd sang at the top of their lungs.
While the show was technically in Camden, NJ, Ballerini and the boys kept shouting out Philly, since it is right across the bridge and made a speech about the fond memories they have of Philadelphia and the East Coast, where they would play in bars to 50 people when they were younger.
The Jonas Brothers toasted with Nick’s Tequila and talked about memories from their past and how much they love every one of their fans then went on to sing an acoustic version of “When You Look Me In the Eyes.”
They ended the night with “Rollercoaster,” “Year 3000” and “Sucker.” They pretty much sang one song from every album except their debut album, but they covered that in the last tour. The show lasted for an hour and a half.
With no album recently released, the Jonas Brothers had the liberty of singing their new singles and fan favorites, pleasing everyone. This tour was a follow-up to 2019’s Happiness Begins Tour and a comeback from no touring for a year and a half.
Our only complaint- it was too short, and it ended too soon. We give it a rating of 15 out of 10. We can’t wait to have the Jonas Brothers come back to the Philly area again next time. Thanks for a great show! If you want to see the brothers on tour, be sure to check out their remaining tour dates
