Looking for something to do during the holidays? Glu Hospitality just brought a brand new igloo experience that Philadelphia has never seen before. Starting on December 2, igloos were placed at Figo Ristorante on N. 2nd Street. They will be the first thing you see when you drive/walk from Girard towards Northern Liberties Restaurant Row.
The igloos are unlike anything Philly has seen before. They are 12- foot wide, clear domes made up of sustainable and recycled plastics, which take over ten hours to assemble. The igloos can be reserved through the website and open table. They seat up to eight people, decked with decor and table-top fire pits
There will be seven in total launching throughout December. They will remain up through winter 2022. If you want the best dining under the stars, grab your friends and sit under an igloo because they resist the cold and wind. And you can enjoy the view of the 16-feet Christmas tree outside of Figo because the igloos are just feet away from it.
If your child wants to meet a princess, then sign them up for Princess Brunches in the igloos. They run every weekend through New Year’s Eve. “Families can “Igloo-distance” themselves from other families and the Princess, as she goes Igloo to Igloo, and table to table, and interacts and delights young children,” according to a press release.
Last, but not least, Glu and Figo announced a new outdoor Holiday Cocktail Garden with heated, covered indoor-outdoor seating for up to 50 guests.
Tickets for the igloo seating are $10 per person, for anyone 2 and up and $5 for outdoor seating without the igloo. This event is open to a very limited number of tickets to make this dining experience safe and intimate. All children and adults above the age of two must wear a mask to and from their dining table
