Bianca Ryan Releases Epic Trailer Cover of Britney Spears’ ‘Lucky’

Philly Entetainment News

This is a story about a girl named Lucky. Bianca Ryan has released covers of popular songs throughout her career, and she doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. “Lucky (Epic Trailer Version)” was released on Feb. 11.

Releasing teasers on Instagram and Tiktok, Ryan said “This is probably my favorite song I have EVER recorded (seriously) and it was incredibly rewarding making one of my favorite songs my own and bringing a new emotion to one of my favorite songs by miss @britneyspears ♥️ She deserves a huge tribute and I think the message of this song is beautiful.”

While she stays pretty true to the original, Ryan did change up some lyrics to the song. For example, Spears’ version starts with a voiceover of her saying “This is the story of a girl named Lucky” whereas, Ryan just starts singing the first line of “Isn’t she lucky?” This is just one of the many differences in her cover.

Also, Spears’s version is more upbeat while Ryan’s is slowed down and feels like it would play during a movie trailer or at the end credits. Her epic vocals make you believe that Ryan is singing about herself and not covering Spears’ song.

After Spears’ struggled for years under conservatorship from her family, particularly her father, she finally got free at the end of last year. This song takes on such a different meaning now that so many fans know what went on.

Ryan latest covers before this were Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi’s “Stay (From the Girl’s Perspective)” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone.”

She has been working hard on new music- covers and originals, so this year will be nothing but fantastic for Ryan. The 27-year-old is also planning on starting up a podcast called The Show Must Go On, which is set to release in the next couple of months.

So, stay tuned for all she has planned by following her on social media. What do you think of her cover?
