If you happen to be downtown this week you may spot a familiar face. Adam Sandler was spotted filming a movie scene on Tuesday on Market St.
The movie he is filming is for Netflix and it’s called “Hustle,” which is about an unjustly fired baseball scout who discovers a talented player overseas and then brings them back to America.
“Hustle” is produced by LeBron James and a Philly native director, Jeremiah Zagar. There is no clear release date as of yet, but the actors and crew are taking COVID-19 precautions while filming.
Adam Sandler is making the best of his time in the city. He stopped by DiPinto Guitars where he bought two guitars.
Then, he bought one guitar from George’s Music in Berwyn. While out in the suburbs, he ate some Italian food at Savona in Gulph Mills and some Asian cuisine at Dan Dan while in Wayne.
Fans have spotted him at those places and around the city. Each time he stopped for a quick chat or picture, with a mask and socially distanced, of course, and was very pleasant, according to fans and media outlets.
Sandler recently released “Hubie Halloween,” on Netflix in time for the holiday.
We can’t wait to see the movie and all of the familiar landmarks in it!
